Jerrod Johnson

I was born and raised in Humble ,Texas a suburb on the Northeast side of Houston, Texas. I was fortunate enough to be raised by two wonderful parents. My mother, Pamela Johnson and late father Larry Johnson. My lovely mother Pamela Cheered at Texas Southern University and is currently a high school teacher. My father Larry Johnson played football at Texas A&M from 1976-1980. He then went on to Coach Football at Humble High School until he took an administrative role as Humble High Schools Head Principal. I have one older brother Marquis Johnson who played football at Prairie View A&M University and is currently a high school football coach. My family also fostered less fortunate children of all races, creeds and disabilities into our home. I attended Humble High School where I lettered and received numerous state and national accolades in football, basketball and baseball. After graduating from Humble High School I then received a dual scholarship to Texas A&M in football and basketball. As freshmen I played football and basketball for the Aggies until deciding to focus on football for the remaining years. While at Texas A&M I received a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology & Education and started my masters degree in Youth Development. I am proud to say I am a I direct result of my upbringing and environment. I attribute all of my success to the amazing parents, mentors, coaches and role models in my life over the years. My success in sports has allowed me to travel the world and develop countless personal trials, tribulations, life lessons, friendships and amazing experiences. As I look back at my past and stare into my future I look forward to sharing my experiences through mentorship and coaching. My goal is to share my my experiences as a player and coach with the next generation of athletes.
